What is Jamf Concepts?

Jamfs often come up with fun and useful utilities but not all of them can make it into our product line, at least not right away. So we wanted a way to share them with you. That’s Jamf Concepts. We’re eager to hear your reactions. If a project looks interesting, try it out. Is it addressing an issue or use-case you care about? Does the solution work well in your environment? Any ideas of how we can make it better?

Jamf Concepts is an evolution of what Jamfs have been doing since our earliest days. Before, if a Jamf created a utility, it might have been be shared by Support, posted in Jamf Nation, in the Apple App Store or in our GitHub. The Jamf Concepts site gives our customers a central place to find some of the projects we think might be most interesting to you.

How to Share Feedback

Most Concepts include a link to documentation which has an explanation of how the developers would like to receive feedback. Some projects will have their own email address while projects hosted in GitHub may suggest leaving general feedback in the repository’s discussion area, or you can file an issue if you encounter a bug. Other projects, like the Jamf Pro Add-On for Splunk (#splunk) and Jamf Compliance Editor (#jamf-compliance-editor) have wonderful community support and discussions in MacAdmins Slack. Please email "concepts" at jamf if you get stuck and we’ll get you connected.

Use Agreement

Each project will include a statement of its license. Jamf’s open-source projects typically carry the MIT License. Non-open source projects are covered by the Jamf Concept Projects Use Agreement.
